The Beatles Cake

                                                                "A Hard Day's Night"

It's been a hard day's night, and I'd been working like a dog
It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright

You know I work all day to get you money to buy you things
And it's worth it just to hear you say you're going to give me everything
So why on earth should I moan, cos when I get you alone
You know I feel OK

When I'm home everything seems to be right
When I'm home feeling you holding me tight, tight, yeah

It's been a hard day's night, and I'd been working like a dog
It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright owww

So why on earth should I moan, cos when I get you alone
You know I feel OK

When I'm home everything seems to be right
When I'm home feeling you holding me tight, tight, yeah

It's been a hard day's night, and I'd been working like a dog
It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright
You know I feel alright
You know I feel alright

Winnie the Pooh & Friends Cake

I looked at the clock. It was only 12pm.. Yes! Cake completed and I could make it on time to send to the party. This is my first 2 tier cartoon cake -- and I loved every second doing it. It was so much fun decorating, making the figurines...

Anyway it was time to present it to the Birthday boy... and we drove there. That was the time when I cursed on every bumps on the road -- worried sick that my piglet and tigger would fall. And my fear came true. As we reached the destination, my tigger fell and the piglet's ears dropped!

The Event planner was already there with her assistants preparing the food. They were rushing and could not lend me a hand. I scanned for tooth picks -- and lucky me, they were serving cut fruits. So yes I found a box of tooth pick on the table. Here comes the Mc Gyver in me, trying to fix things up. I did. The tigger was back at he supposed to be standing and the piglet got his ears back. Unfortunately nothing could be done to help the crack on the cake due to the fall. I just hope my figurines could distract it .. Gosh. What an experience!

Lesson learnt: A tigger standing on its tail need to be nailed onto to the cake.

Myths on losing weight

Most women think they are overweight even to someone who weighs only 55kg. Having the common belief, we banded together and formed a club. A club that started with one of our lunch buddies whining of her not losing enough weight, despite the diet she had gone through. A 6 member club with one common objective; to fit, the very least into a dress with 2 sizes less. Every one of us had our own way and during our pursuit, we came across few myths which we thought could help us achieve our goals.

Myth 1: Download an application that will track down your calorie intake into your smart phone.

This was my idea of losing weight; of keeping track of what I ate. So every time we go out for lunch, I would whip out my smart phone and start calculating the calorie of each meal that we were about to order. That normally ended up of us having miserable clear vegetable soup or the 6 of us having to share one measly dessert of ‘Kueh Seri Muka’ with portions that would not even satisfy hamsters. At the end, it was an utterly depressing lunch experience. By the third lunch outing, I was threatened with bodily harm to not even logged on to that application. Hence, it was banished from my phone.

Myth 2: Do a rigorous exercise.

One of the members believed that exercising is the ultimate method. Since she wanted to shed the most kilos, she believed that she needs to exercise more than the rest of us. While we are contented in doing just 12 squats a day, she chose to do a hundred. She did burn a lot of calories but it practically rendered her immobile. Her legs and thighs were sore as though they were punched by Mohamad Ali. We ended up doing her errands for her that requires mobility.

At the end of the day, all of us agreed that no amount of smart applications could help us reduce our weight, nor any rigorous exercises could do too. All we need is a continuous self motivation and strong will power.

Sometimes we have to loose something precious ..

Busy was an understatement. I accepted too many cake orders and at the same time -- work piled up faster than it could be completed.

To top it all .. last week KL traffic was one of the worst .. even though Papago GPS was designed to capture road traffic -- there was no infrastructure to facilitate! Qualsys Communication could have worked with Papago and make a hell lot of money out of this.

Anyway today at lunch we met Mr. SY. He was alone. Suddenly it dawn upon me .. that most of the Presidents would go out lunch alone. I asked him that .. "Are you alone? It must be very lonely at the top kan?" . His face changed; showed that he was amazed that I made that statement .. so I continue saying .." I usually see Mr. SB alone at lunch. So I guess the Presidents prefer to eat alone" His answer surprised me more .. he said " That is the only way to avoid gossip"

So is that how it is .. sometimes we have to loose something precious, in order to receive something priceless?
